Master in Management & International Trade

The Master’s program in Management & International Trade will help you deepen your skills in strategic management, international marketing, finance, logistics, and human resources management. Master in Tourism

If you are passionate about the tourism industry, the Master’s in Tourism with a focus on island territories will allow you to gain in-depth knowledge of global tourism trends and issues, while developing skills in destination management, tourism marketing, sustainable tourism development, and hotel management. Thanks to an immersive teaching approach, you will be ready to meet the challenges of this ever-evolving sector.

The Master’s programs last two years and are organized in collaboration with ESTHUA (School of Higher Studies in Tourism and Hospitality at the University of Angers). You will receive training from experienced and recognized professors in their fields, as well as networking opportunities with industry professionals. A Master’s Degree (Bac+5) Designed for the Real-World Challenges of Digital Transformation

The Mastère EADL trains engineers capable of meeting companies’ needs in complex software development, robust IT architecture, and cybersecurity. Through project-based learning and integration of the latest technologies, graduates are prepared to design, develop, and deploy efficient, scalable, and secure digital solutions aligned with the digital transformation of organizations.

Master’S in Tourism: focus on Insular and Overseas Region

Course Objective

The course aims at offering students interested in sectors of Tourism in coastal areas to conceive, develop and implement their projects. It is tailor-made for the Mauritian and Indian Ocean tourism industry suited for tourism development and specific issues related to island destinations.

The objective of Master’s in Tourism: focus on Insular and Overseas Regions is to equip students with the relevant knowledge, skills and experience required to become leaders in the tourism industry, with a particular emphasis on the unique context of island destinations and overseas territories.

The main objectives of this course are to:

  • Develop an advanced knowledge of the tourism industry, including trends, challenges and opportunities particular to island destinations and overseas territories.
  • Provide a comprehensive knowledge of cultural, social, economic and environmental factors that influence the development of tourism in these regions.
  • Develop skills in planning, tourism marketing and management, with an emphasis on sustainable tourism practices.
  • Foster critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills to face challenges and opportunities relating to tourism in insular and overseas regions.
  • Prepare students for leadership roles in the tourism industry, including positions in private and public bodies, as well as academic and research facilities.

Pre-Requisites

The course is accessible to any student holding a Bachelor in Tourism or equivalent.

Mode of recruitment: application + interview + English language test (similar to IELTS) for the Masters in Management and International Commerce course.

Course Structure

The academic training takes place over 510 teaching hours: 252 hours in class and 258 tutorial work.

Medium of Instruction: French and English.

Course Content

The course has been conceived to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of characteristics, challenges and opportunities particular to tourism development in the Indian Ocean region, with a focus on emerging markets such as China and India.

Professional Internships

The course offers practical experience opportunities through internships, fieldwork and case studies, allowing students to put their knowledge and skills into practice in real life context.

The course includes a mandatory internship of 4 months for 1st year students and of 6 months for those in 2nd year.

An internship dissertation which counts towards final markings, is required at the end.

Students who are already employed are exempt of internship but will have to write a dissertation based on their paid employment.

Job Prospects

The holder of a Master’s in Tourism can aspire to managerial posts in companies and local tourism companies in island destinations: project manager in development, travel agency manager, regional facilitator, project manager, research manager or consultant.

Admission requirements and enrollment processes:

• Undergraduate degree: Most of our Master’s programs require applicants to have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in a field related to the chosen Master’s program. Transcripts and copies of your diplomas may be required when applying for admission.

• Language requirements: If the Master’s program is taught in a foreign language, you will need to provide proof of language proficiency, such as a valid score on a standardized test (e.g., TOEFL or IELTS for English).

• Cover letter: Most of our Master’s programs require applicants to submit a cover letter describing their academic and professional goals.

BTS / Diploma

The BTS is a two-year program, accessible to holders of a Higher School Certificate or Baccalaureate. This French national diploma is offered in partnership with the Lycée La Bourbonnais under the aegis of the “Académie” of Reunion Island and the French Embassy.

Bachelor Degree

The MCCI Business School has been proposing for more than 15 years, bachelor’s degree (HSC/BAC+3) in collaboration with the University of Reunion and the University of Angers. The bachelor’s degree is open to Diploma holders as well as executives who wish to upgrade their academic qualifications.

Work/Study Program

MCCI Business School has been the first tertiary institution to offer since 2015, work/study programs. Combining academic training and professional integration, this program allows young people to simultaneously familiarize with the workplace whilst preparing for their academic qualification.
