Gathered under the theme “Horizons Beyond Borders,” our communication students actively participated in the fourth edition of the “Our Future – Africa-Europe Dialogues” event organized by the French Institute of Mauritius, with the support of the French Institute of Paris.
For three days, around fifty young people from the islands of the region gathered for a forum at the French Institute of Mauritius and at the Pointe-Canon amphitheater in Mahébourg to share and discuss their ideas.
Our students, taking on the roles of interviewers, reporters, and writers, performed these three journalistic functions throughout the event. They had the opportunity to meet and exchange with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and they also participated in various activities, including workshops such as “Nomads, migrants, expatriates, who are you?” “Food sociability,” and the border game, which sparked keen interest among them.
